I’d advise thinking of a different gift idea. If they’re into fashion then they’re probably picky. Anyone with a ‘high fashion sense’ wouldn’t purchase clothes without trying them on first, because its also a lot about how things fit a persons personal body type. Also, there are many different branches of high fashion and it’s always hard to be sure which styles will suit them. Perhaps jewelry or accessories like a purse or silk scarves might be a better route?

I’m looking for a book about how to create/publish/manage a fashion magazine. Or any magazine, but preferably fashion.

How much does a big named fashion designer make in a year? I think all of them went off to be independent sometime in their life, how much is the starting salary when they begin working with other and how much does one make a year if they become a BIG named designer?

Someone that becomes big will earn millions like Chanel/Prada/D&G/Gucci/Jean Paul Gaultier/Christian Dior/Christian Louboutin etc.
But there are so many fashion designers out there that never get anywhere, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll find a job, it’s a very risky step.
There are so many people studying fashion nowadays as well that in the next 10 years being a designer/fashionista is gonna be a common thing, you need to have a true gift to ever get to be as big as those brands I named, and others.
There are some designers out there that you don’t even know exist.
Girls nowadays just wanna go to college and all do the same thing because that’s what’s cool at the moment, cause it means so much to their popularity. It actually saddens me where this world is headed, I fear that in 10/20 years time it’s gonna be hard to find doctors. People at the moment care too much about the present and how popular they are, rather than the future and what’s gonna work. It’s pathetic to be honest.
So yeah, fashion won’t take you far, plus Italians and French usually are the most talented and guaranteed to have a career in fashion.
