I’m 18 years old and will be finishing secondary school soon. I want to be a fashion designer and start my own business, possibly start by selling clothes on the internet. My dad is a photographer and works in the media and runs an online magazine, so he can help me.
I’ll probably take a fashion design course for two years. But what would be the best way to start my own business and get everything set up, like manufacturers etc?

You should first learn to walk before you try to run. Becoming a good fashion designer will not only take a great deal of talent, but it will take many years of education and experience. Before even thinking about setting up your own design business, you will need to get a number of years experience under your belt actually working at a fashion design house, where you will learn all the ins and outs of the industry.
