0 Versace + Gucci Mens Fashion Roundup Models, Designers, Trends Spring 2011 | FashionTV FTVhttp://youtube.com/FashionTV FASHIONTV – FashionTV takes you to the world’s fashion capitals for the latest in men’s fashion. The ultimate in summer fashion is showcased by the Spring lines of Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier. Also, get to know the season’s hottest runway: stars: Alex Cunha, Phillip Schmidt, Thomas Hoefnagels, Ben Hill, Corey Baptiste and Oskar Tranum.

Roberto Cavalli marked its 40th anniversary with a bold men’s fashion show that opened with three gothic ninjas lighting an Olympic-style flame. The collection, while full of stand-out pieces, was a turn to the East for the typically Italian house. Vibrant colors, embellishments on tuxedo lapels, metallic appliqués and Eastern prints are some key styles from Roberto Cavalli’s Indonesia-inspired men’s line.

Gucci designer Frida Gianini took a turn to the ’60s when designing Gucci’s Spring line. The Gucci men’s line features Gucci classics such as a silk/mohair suit, a rawhide leather jacket, a suede-front cardigan and an Indian-embroidered denim shirt.

Which up-and-coming male model is your favorite? Hit the runways of Milan’s Spring Summer fashion week to meet Alex Cunha. Alex is Brazilian, with green eyes and light hair and belongs to the Elite Milan agency. Get to know Philipp Schmidt: Phillip is German with blue eyes and brown hair and part of the new Madison agency in Paris and introduce yourself to Thomas Hoefnagels, a young Belgian model, as well.

Versace’s newest menswear designer Martyn Bal plunged his first collection back to one of fashion’s most inconic decades — the 1980s. A drape jacket with a black leather shawl collar, low-slung leather pants with fringes and a big cream overcoat are among the ’80s looks in Versace’s men’s line.

Jean Paul Gaultier took the presentation of his men’s line to another realm — Marrakech, to be exact — with shirtless models in safari-style tunics opening his show. Gaultier looks follow his usual penchant for colors, drapes and patterns — with long tunics over elegant suits, patterned jackets with matching shorts and other classic men’s styles with an ethnic spin.

Back on Milan male models circuit, catch up with new up-and-comers like Ben Hill, an American model from Saint Paul, Minnesota with blue eyes and brown hair. Corey Baptiste is introduced as well, another American model signed with the D’MEN agency in Milan. Danish newcomer Oskar Tranum rounds out the list. The blue eyed dark blonde is signed with the Succes modeling agency in Paris.
